Our Team
One of our past cases involved a couple who was riding a motorcycle when a car switched lanes without signaling, causing them to crash into the rear end of the vehicle. The couple suffered serious injuries, but when the case went to court, the defendant and insurance company claimed that the automobile never switched lanes and that the motorcycle rear-ended the automobile without warning. Our legal team presented all of the evidence available proving that contention was false, and before the jury returned a verdict, the case was settled globally for $275,000.
Another case that our legal team took on occurred when Gov. Terry McAuliffe of Virginia fired all members of the state's Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and waited days before appointing new members to fill the vacant positions. Because of this complete vacancy of the Board, our attorney Mr. Joynes was able to successfully argue that charges made against a bartender for serving an underage person during the time of the Board's vacancy should be dropped. Our attorney argued that with the way the code was written, all ABC agents derived their authority from the board, and since there was no board at the time of the charges, they did not have the vested authority to enforce the law. We won the case and the charges were dropped, gaining public attention.
